This product has a wide assortment of high-quality cotter pins. A cotter pin is a simple fastener for holding a bolt in place. Cotter pins are U-shaped metal pieces that are inserted into bolt holes and then twisted together. The cotter pin keeps the bolt in place and prevents it from loosening and coming out. Turnbuckles, rigging screws, and trailer wheel bearing nuts are frequently secured with stainless steel cotter pins. After the parts have been adjusted or tightened to the proper level, the stainless steel cotter pin is put through the securing hole; and then the legs of the cotter pin are bent outwards to keep it in place. Cotter pins are meant for one-time usage only and should be replaced with new pins to avoid the chance of breakage due to fatigue damage.
