Mercury PROP NUT PLASTIC (118-3703)

Similar to the thrust washer, the Mercury PROP NUT PLASTIC (118-3703) aids in aligning the propeller to the shaft when the inner hub loses its shape, but this time at the propeller's aft end. The nut stops the inner of the hub from moving backward thanks to its large surface area, which supports reverse thrust loads. In contrast to a thrust washer, it is reliant on the final washer and nut to prevent movement on the shaft. It can withstand reverse thrust loads thanks to the size of its surface area and keeps the inner hub from slipping backward. Due to the last washer and nut, the spacer cannot move farther back.
