The Rotech's T71FC helm, as it has a Planetary Gear Design, reduces steering effort and results in more evenly distributed stresses on the steering wheel. This one-of-a-kind design also provides a more excellent wear surface, reducing wasted motion and extending the product's life. This helm, centered on the primary drive shaft, takes up less room behind the dash and is a direct "drop-in" replacement for competing systems, requiring no additional holes to be drilled. The M66 Universal Rotary Steering Cable with stainless steel output fittings is included in the Rotech package for optimal lifespan and smooth steering.
