Head Gasket (2) - Sierra Marine Engine Parts (18-3832)

How to Install Head Gaskets for the Sierra 18-3832:

1. Remove any unwanted objects and old gaskets from the mating surface.

2. For warpage and distortion, inspect the head and the block. Slide a feeler gauge between the surface and the straightedge after placing a straightedge on the surface lengthwise. The surface shouldn't deviate from flatness by more than.003".

3. The silicone seal should be facing the block when you install the gasket.

4. Observe the torque settings and sequence recommended by the manufacturer.
