GAS FILLED LIFT SUPPORT 15 X 4 (GS62700)

By compressing gas inside a cylinder, gas-charged lifts help to store energy. When the container is closed, the power is stored. When you open a hatch, hood, liftgate, or trunk, the life is released to raise the hatch, hood, or liftgate and safely hold it open. Sometimes confused for shock absorbers or struts, gas-charged lift supports absorb energy to control motion. Because the lift supports contain a 1,500 psi gas charge, they cannot be forced by hand. If the vehicle is five years old or older, it must be exchanged. There are two types of lift support applications: automotive-specific and universal.
