This cockpit scupper drain is a low-cost alternative to the items already available for draining regions where the discharge is below the waterline. This injection molded item is high strength with UV stabilized to give value and durability. The check ball enclosed within the cockpit scupper drain is made and ground smooth and round to provide improved sealing against reverse water flow when backing the boat. Raised ribs on the head of the leaf guard model prevent debris (leaves, scales, etc.) from blocking holes. The mounting flange has an overall diameter of 3 9/16" and is installed using four (4) number 8 screws in a 2 1/2" diameter hole (not furnished). All outlets support 1 1/2 inch drain hoses. Check the ball inside to prevent water backup. The top screen is detachable for cleaning. Optional leaf shields keep leaves, wrappers, and other debris from clogging. It fits a 1-1/2" hose.
