A standard fuel system runs from the tank to a mechanical pump on the engine, which is located under the car's floor. The carburetor receives fuel from the pump. When checking fuel pipes, disconnect the battery to prevent stray sparks from igniting petrol or petrol vapor. Adapter Fittings connect gasoline line tubes and hoses to fuel pumps, fuel regulators, and fuel filters. They are also known as Standard Fittings or Union Fittings. The fuel lines and fittings, which may be broken or cracked due to natural wear and tear, are the most prevalent sources of fuel leaks. Fuel leaks could also come from the fuel injection system.
