Solenoid - ARCO Marine (SW926) for an outboard engine is responsible for transmitting battery voltage to the starting motor. When the contact inside the starter solenoid electronically engages, a circuit opens, allowing electrical current to flow from the battery to the starter, causing the engine to start. It has a coil set that it utilizes to generate a magnetic field on a permanent magnet. When power is given to the coil, the magnet will be attracted or repelled.
