3/32 X 36" ER316L Stainless Steel (TT 316/316L 05)

Washington Alloy's 3/32 X 36" ER316L Stainless Steel Welding Rod is a high-quality stainless steel welding rod used in welding base metals with similar compositions such as 301, 302, 301, 310, 311, 312, and 316. It has a lower carbon content (.03 percent maximum) that effectively resists intergranular carbide precipitation, which can eventually cause weld corrosion. Stainless steel welding rods produce the best bead appearance when TIG welding a set of materials. The proportions of chromium and nickel are balanced to ensure that the weld contains enough ferrite to resist hot cracking.
