The vital purpose of the Water Pump Housing Kit is to house the thermostats and precisely control the coolant flow positioned on the opposite side of the impeller.

These covers contain a weep hole that is only a few millimeters in diameter; their purpose is to drain any coolant leaking resulting from a poor seal. They also act as a point of connection between the engine and the top radiator hose. The housing material is substantial enough to withstand pressure from the drive belt and internal coolant system pressure.
