TRIM PUMP (21945915)

The completed diameter outside of the impeller is known as the impeller trim. There are many impeller trim sizes available for most centrifugal pumps. The greatest diameter impeller that may lay within a particular pump is known as maximum trim.

It is safe to remove the air from the trim pump. The lower section that operates the watercraft is raised and lowered by the trim pump attached to a Mercruiser boat engine. When pressing the trim tab switch, the bottom unit will not move if the air is in the trim pump. It is impossible to modify the bow height in choppy water or regulate how the boat planes while the trimming is off.
