The function of a throttle position sensor is to ensure that your boat's engine receives the proper volume of fuel and air to operate as effectively as possible. It is situated on the butterfly spindle or shaft and is an essential component of the fuel management system of your boat. You will notice indications that correlate with the performanceor should we say, lack of performance when this sensor is not operating as it should. At the first indication of failure, this part needs to be replaced. A malfunctioning throttle position sensor could leave you stuck or cause your boat to accelerate excessively, depending on what is wrong.
