The throttle body is an essential part of your air intake system that controls the air flowing into your engine. It's located between the air intake and the engine manifold, and it's where the engine gets fresh air for combustion. This Sea Star throttle body, model number 18-0987-9, is used to regulate the amount of air that enters an engine. A valve is located inside the aperture of the throttle body and responds to the driver's input via the gas pedal by opening and closing. Throttle bodies receive air from a filter system, which cleans it before directing it into the intake manifold.
