The temperature sensor takes accurate measurements of the engine coolant's temperature. As a result, it gives the engine's temperature as a measurement. The temperature sensor monitors and records the temperature before sending the information to the engine control unit. The ECU processes the data after it is received, evaluates it, and then takes the necessary action. Both the ignition timing and the air-fuel mixture ratio will be altered or controlled. When the engine runs too hot, less gasoline is required, and when it runs too cold, more fuel is supplied.
