SPEEDOMETER (F32909) is a boating device that compares the speed of the boat to the speed of the water. A pitometer is used in this method. The pitometer calculates an estimated speed traveled by comparing the rate of water entering a tube to air pressure.

A pitot tube is connected to the speedometers on the dashboard via a SPEEDOMETER (F32909) cable that runs through the underside of the vessel and sticks out into the water. It means that as you accelerate, more pressure is created, causing the gauge to show a faster record. As you slow down, less pressure is created, causing the gauge to show a slower record.
