Volvo Penta spark plug kit contains the spark plugs that deliver electric current from an ignition system to the combustion chamber of a spark-ignition engine, allowing an electric spark to ignite a compressed fuel/air mixture while keeping the combustion pressure of the engine. A sufficient voltage is from the ignition system to spark across the spark plug gap. It features a firing end temperature controlled at low enough to avoid pre-ignition. The length of the insulator nose is the most significant structural change that affects the heat value. A hotter spark plug insulator nose has a wider gap between the insulator's firing tip and the point where the insulator contacts the metal shell.
