A spark plug is an electrical component that plugs into the cylinder head of some internal combustion engines that ignites compressed aerosol gasoline using an electric spark. Spark plugs feature a grounded terminal on the plug's base that is connected to an ignition coil or magneto circuit on the outside via a significantly insulated wire, causing a spark gap within the cylinder. If the voltage supplied to the plug is high enough, electrical energy is delivered via the spark plug, leaping the gap in the plug's firing end. The spark plug is connected to a high voltage source such as the magneto or the ignition coil. The other end, which contains the two electrodes, is placed in the combustion chamber.
