CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) is an ignition technology used in outboard motors and other power sports vehicles. Each ignition circuit's trigger voltages and being monitored by the switch box. As the magnet gets closer to a trigger coil, the trigger voltage for the coil climbs and peaks as the magnetism gets close to the coil's top. As the magnet moves away from the fields, the voltage reverses. The CDI Switchbox from CDI Electronics set the standard for outboard motor electrical systems. It meets or exceeds client expectations in performance, durability, and lifetime.
