Summary
The Marine Call Center Technician is responsible for providing expert level service to the McDurmon team, as well as customers by investigating, diagnosing, and advising on repair issues with boats in an efficient and accurate manner. McDurmon Marine Technicians are also for helping customers by providing product and service information and resolving technical issues. You will be responsible for helping customers by providing product and service information and resolving technical issues.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Expertly diagnose a wide variety of issues based upon experience
- Maintain leading-edge knowledge of marine diagnosis technology
- Maintain a positive attitude and be a productive member of our team
- Provide our customers with a positive service experience
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Be a problem solver and be willing to tackle anything - Be able to work independently and efficiently
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints
- Provide information about the products and services
- Troubleshoot and resolve product issues and concerns
- Document and update customer records based on interactions
- Any other requests from supervisor
- Obtain a solid understanding and knowledge of all of McDurmon’s product lines
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of engines, knowledge of electrical systems, knowledge of ignition systems, knowledge of cooling systems, knowledge of propellers
Communication: Able to interact professionally with colleagues, clients, and company personnel, able to clearly and effectively communicate information both orally and in writing.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Education/Experience: 2 years of experience in a Technical Repair role preferred
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
- Call Center: Previous experience in customer service, sales, or other related fields
