The Lead Assembly is the lead coil spark plug. It is commonly used in all ignition systems for modern petrol engines using ignition coils. It is the job of ignition lead to carry the high voltage electricity produced from the ignition coils transmitted via a wire to ignite the spark plug. The lead assembly creates the high voltage required to spark to the spark plug, then ignites the air-fuel mixture in the engine's combustion chamber. The symptoms that need to be checked for ignition leads are engine misfire, decreased fuel economy, erratic idle, high pitch radio noise, and check engine light.
