One of the most crucial engine parts is the injectors. Fuel injectors are small electrical components used for delivering fuel through a spray directly into the intake manifold in front of the intake valve in a diesel engine. The diesel fuel injectors are also complicated; the injector contains a high micron filter on the top inlet side which corresponds to small hypodermic-sized holes on the bottom for the atomizing of the diesel fuel. The one that serves as a lubricating source for the injector's internal parts is the diesel fuel. Water in the fuel is another factor that commonly leads to injector failure. When the water in the fuel displaces the lubricating properties, the internal parts wear down fast, and the injector as a whole can fail rather quickly.
Key Features:
The fuel injection pump pressurizes fuel to high pressure
A high-pressure pipe sends fuel to the injection nozzle
The injection nozzle injects fuel into the cylinder
The feed pump takes the fuel from the tank.
The fuel filter filtrates the fuel
