HOURMETER (F12835) indicates how much the engine has been used. A timer, also known as a time counter, is a device that keeps track of the amount of time that has passed. The HOUR METER is usually found above the engine or near the steering wheel of the boat. The numbers on the meter indicate how long the engine has been running. If there isn't one already, a marine mechanic should install one. Read the hour meter from left to right.
HOURMETER (F12835) The first digit represents thousands, the second is for hundreds, the third represents tens, the fourth is for a single hour digit, and the fifth is tenths of an hour in reading. The boat's ability to run for longer periods is determined by its maintenance and power. To avoid critical damage to your engine and parts, you must check the hours the vessel has been in use.
