The fuel pump's plunger pairs are arranged in a certain cheval. Their number is inversely correlated with the number of active cylinders in the engine. One piston pair only supplies fuel to one cylinder. The input and exit channels of the pump casing are fitted with pairs. The plunger is propelled by a camshaft that is turned by a crankshaft. The plunger pushers move inside the pump bushings as a result of the camshaft of the fuel pump rotating. They start to open and close in order due to the inlet and outlet openings.
