In general, a diaphragm pump works by using two adaptable diaphragms that move back and forth, creating a temporary cavity, and this section pumps in and expels liquid through the pump. The two diaphragms serve as a barrier between the liquid and the air. Cleaning and inspecting a diaphragm kit is necessary. Remember to remove all gasket material from the pump while being careful not to damage the gasket surfaces, then wipe off the pump sections (do not immerse in solvent), blow off with compressed air, and finally check for cracks or poor gasket contact areas and replace them as necessary.
