FUEL PUMP DIAPHRAGM - 18-7834 a composite membrane used in diaphragm pumps flexes up and down over a fuel bowl. The bowl contains an input and an output with check valves to guarantee that fluids only flow in one direction. A vacuum is created as the diaphragm rises, drawing fuel from the fuel tank into the fuel bowl. The diaphragm pump draws fuel from the tank, so if you run out, it will quickly draw new fuel into the pump and the engine without priming.
