The voltage regulator of an outboard motor gets its power from either the flywheel and stator or the alternator. The regulator rectifier is responsible for regulating and rectifying the voltage produced by the alternator or stator by transforming AC power to the necessary quantity of DC power. The regulator limits the voltage that comes out of it to a certain level, protecting the boat's batteries from harm caused by overcharging. The regulator is in direct contact with this critical component so that the stator might potentially be damaged. CDI Electronics understand every possible potential damage for your rectifier or the whole boat, that's why CDI Electronics offer a rectifier with durability and longevity that exceeds customer satisfaction.
