Product Overview

Drive Splines are ridges or teeth on a drive shaft that fit into grooves in a mating part and transfer torque to it while retaining their angular correspondence. The male spline that matches the female spline on the gear, for instance, might be used to install on a shaft. The smooth tip of the axle is well-supported by the pilot bearing in the flywheel, and the splines on the drive shaft in the illustration line up with the female splines in the middle of the clutch plate. A keyway and key is an alternative to a spline, however, splines have a longer fatigue life and can handle substantially more torque for the size.

Key Features:

  • It can withstand sudden variations of loads.
  • It can handle stress caused by collapsed mechanical parts.
  • It is durable and long-lasting.
  • It can resist corrosion.
