BRONZE SPINDLE HUB (VS-5T) is the innermost part of the boat trailer wheel and axle assembly. It provides a surface for the wheel bearings and wheel hub to rotate around. The spindle hub will form a cavity around the wheel bearings and pump grease into the spindle through the zerk fitting. Filling the cavity with grease allows the bearings to be greased and will keep water from getting to the bearings.
