A winch is a device that adjusts the tension of a rope, wire, or cable by reeling it in, letting it out or both. Multiple winches are used on boats and ships to handle halyards, sheets, and anchor or mooring lines. The basic apparatus for winding in and storing the line is a spool or winch drum.
The winch cables for the tie-down are made of 7 x 19 galvanized steel aircraft cable. A heavy-duty galvanized latch hook, a pull-proof loop, and a fastener end for replacement are all included on winch cables. Powerwinch, DL, Superwinch, and other power winches are compatible.
