Tinned copper conductors can be used as an extra layer of protection to prevent rapid corrosion.
Tinned copper is primarily employed in wastewater treatment plants, subway systems, and other contaminated areas subject to long-term water exposure. A tin coating protects the copper wire against corrosion and premature cable failure.
ANCOR Marine GradeTM wire is tinned copper stranding for superior corrosion and electrolysis resistance. Vibration and flexing fatigue is not a problem with ultra flexible (Type 3) stranding.
ANCOR's superior vinyl insulation is resistant to seawater, battery acid, oil, gasoline, and ultra-violet radiation while remaining flexible even in extreme temperatures. Exclusive insulation is heat and abrasion-resistant and rated at 600 volts, 105°C dry, and 75°C wet.
UL 1426, US Coast Guard Charter boat (CFR Title 46), and ABYC standards are all met.
